About

Love Letters to Sudan is a breathtaking visual tribute to the soul of Sudan—its landscapes, its people, and its stories. This first-of-its-kind book journeys through every corner of the country, from the golden dunes of the Sahara to the misty volcanic peaks of Jebel Marra, from the bustling streets of Khartoum to the timeless Nubian pyramids. Through over 200 stunning fine art photographs, this volume captures the beauty and resilience of Sudan’s diverse cultures, celebrating communities often overlooked.
A collaboration with talented Sudanese photographers, Love Letters to Sudan is more than a book—it’s a love letter to a nation rich in heritage and spirit. Proceeds support women and children affected by the war in Sudan through Sobajo Centre.

Over a decade career in global policy and development, I saw a critical gap—a lack of representation in decision-making spaces and African narratives. Too often, I was the only woman, immigrant, or person of color in high-level discussions, and the stories about Africa—about us—were incomplete.
As a first-generation Sudanese-American, I’ve worked to bridge this gap—shaping economic strategies with world leaders and using digital storytelling to challenge misconceptions and highlight Africa’s history, influence, and contributions.
I engage with heads of state, global institutions, and the private sector to drive investment and policy solutions, while sharing career strategies, financial literacy, and African historical insights with a growing community of 100,000+ followers and 3 million YouTube viewers.
Through my newsletter and social platforms, I make global issues accessible and actionable—helping people navigate careers, wealth-building, and Africa’s evolving role in the world.
My mission is simple: open doors, reshape narratives, and empower more people to create impact.
