ABOUT:
With nearly eight years of experience, Abir Ibrahim is a recognized practitioner, organizer and thought leader on social and economic development, African Affairs, women & youth leadership and global health.
As a UNICEF USA's Community Engagement Fellow, Mrs. Ibrahim partners with leading influencers, organizations and communities to support the world's most vulnerable children. Prior to UNICEF, she worked for a variety of public and private institutions, including UNICEF Sudan, IHF Kenya, Peace Corps Tanzania, and led major USG funded projects.
Talks & High level Events
Abir has addressed various grassroots and high-level audiences including community-based women groups, local and national government, civil society, influencers, policymakers, academics, development practitioners and young global leaders. Her presentations at major forums including the World Economic Forum, G20 Global Solutions Summit, The British Chamber of Commerce in China, World Bank Group, and the United Nations Commission on Human Rights among others, have helped raise awareness on the role of women and young people in policy, economic strengthening, gender and social development.
